President’s Message- January 2019

Happy New Year to all!

I hope you celebrated the start of 2019 in good spirits with family and friends. Now that we are a few days into the new year, it’s good to look ahead and think about what this year may bring us, but first, let’s take a quick look back.

2018 was a phenomenal year for the Chapter. Thank you to our 2018 Board Members and workplace conference committees for all their hard work and dedication to the Chapter. We held a successful workplace conference, with over 200 individuals in attendance. We ended the year with approximately 207 CCSHRM members. We gave a scholarship to Caroline Montgomery in the amount of $2000.

I am very excited to work with the 2019 CCSHRM Board Members! Your 2019 CCSHRM Board Members are:
Rhonda May, Vice President
Dennis Claborn, Membership Director
Djordan Didulo, Treasurer
Shalon Anderson, Student Liaison Director
Paul Bauer, Legislative Director
Macy Blattel, Communications Director
Bobbi Jaurique Escobar, Workforce Readiness/Diversity-Director
Nicholas De La Torre, SHRM Foundation Director
Jonathan Holt, Events Coordinator
Kim Slaven, Marketing/PR Director
Jeff Esraelian, Community Relations Director
Melissa Sing, Administrative Director
Jan Harrold, Past President

If any member is interested in serving on a committee for the upcoming 2019 Workplace Conference or any other CCSHRM event, please reach out to any of the board members and we will point you in the right direct with the person in charge of the event for which you are interested.

On behalf of the CCSHRM Board, I would like to thank you all for your continued support. We are very grateful for all our members and their employers who allow them the opportunity to attend Chapter events! Our members are vital to the chapters success. Cheers to a healthy, prosperous and successful year ahead!

Sincerely,
Karen Gill
Chapter President
