Safety Specialist – HR Generalist

Sierra Tel seeks to fill a Safety Specialist – HR Generalist position in the beautiful mountain community of Oakhurst, California.  This position will assist the Human Resources department with duties ranging from supporting day-to-day human resource operations as well as providing safety coordination to ensure safe and efficient operations.  The goal of this position is to bolster HR administration and workplace safety programs and training according to legal standards and foster a strong safety culture within the organization.

Ideal candidates for the Safety Specialist – HR Generalist position will have well-rounded experience in safety, including training, inspections, accident reporting, and workers’ compensation, as well as employment law and general human resources responsibilities.   Experience with Class A driver’s license requirements is a plus! The starting pay for this position is $25.00 to $46.00 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school in safety management or related field.  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Occupational Safety and/or Human Resources certification preferred.
• Three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class C California driver’s license with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
