Human Resources Officer

Summary

The Human Resources Officer supports the agency’s mission, vision and values by providing comprehensive HR services that foster a positive, compliant, and equitable workplace. This position oversees the administration of recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, health and wellness, worker’s compensation, safety, compensation, performance management, and personnel data integrity, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment regulations. The Human Resources Officer fosters a positive workplace culture with management and staff to promote engagement, professional development, and equitable opportunities. Through this dual focus, the role strengthens organizational effectiveness while enhancing the employee experience in service of the agency’s community impact.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, human resources management or a related field required, master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Eight (8) years of progressive human resources management experience, with a minimum of six (6) years of direct staff supervision.

Four (4) years of human resources management experience administering HR practices compliant with California laws and regulations highly preferred.

Experience in non-profit, human services, and/or public advocacy programs preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other nationally recognized human resources certification preferred.

PHR-CA or SHRM California Law HR Specialty Credential preferred.

Salary Range:$113,844.00 To $136,608.00 Annually
