President’s Message – September 2024

Happy September CCSHRM Community (Current and Future Members),

As we welcome September and the approach of the Fall season, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the transition from summer’s relaxation to the renewed energy of autumn. The end of summer often symbolizes a fresh start, and back-to-school season, which inspires both personal and professional growth.

This month, as we settle into the rhythm of Fall, we are excited to offer a range of upcoming events designed to enhance your HR expertise and support your professional development. Our calendar includes insightful workshops, engaging webinars, and networking opportunities tailored to address the latest trends and challenges in human resources. Please save the dates for these exciting events:

September 17 – Tim Nightingale’s luncheon presentation will focus on collaborative conversations for high performing teams.

October 9 Webinar – Katherine Fry will host a webinar on performance reviews. We will learn how to construct an effective review and how to train managers on delivering positive and productive feedback.

October 15 – Our very own Dan Larsen with Sierra HR Partners will present Multi-Generations in the Workplace

October 17 – CCSHRM Foundation Mixer: Saddle Up for Success! Our Fall foundation barn bash will be at the San Joaquin River Parkway

November 12 – John Losey will be returning to CCSHRM from Los Angeles to bring us Tackling Tough Conversations: Navigating Difficult Dialogs with Candor, Kindness & Emotional Courage

These events will provide valuable knowledge and practical tools to help you lead effectively and drive organizational success.

We encourage you to participate in these activities and leverage the collective wisdom of our community. Let’s make the most of this season of change and renewal by embracing opportunities for learning and growth. Together, we can build stronger, more resilient workplaces and set the stage for a successful conclusion to the year.

As always, we welcome your feedback, suggestions, and ideas on how we can further strengthen our CCSHRM community. Your input is invaluable as we work together to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where all HR professionals can thrive.

If you are not a current member, please consider this as our invitation to join us!  You can learn more about the benefits of membership by reaching out to our Membership Director, Dennis Claborn at membership@centralcalshrm.org.
