President’s Message – July 2024

Happy July CCSHRM Community (Current and Future Members),

As we embrace the summer warmth of July, it’s a wonderful time to pause and reflect on our journey so far this year. This mid-year mark offers us a chance to celebrate our achievements and refocus our efforts on the goals we’ve set for the remainder of the year. I am continually inspired by the dedication, innovation, and resilience each of you brings to our chapter. Our collective efforts are what drive our success and ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry.

The July 16th luncheon features Shayn Anderson with the Department of Rehabilitation, providing insight into the resources available for disabilities and accommodations in the workplace.

I am also thrilled to announce an exciting event on the horizon. Mark your calendars for the CCSHRM Workplace Symposium themed “Energizing Businesses, Empowering People” on March 6, 2025. This symposium will be a unique opportunity to explore innovative HR practices, share insights, and network with industry leaders. More details will follow, but please save the date and prepare to join us for this inspiring event. A special thank you to Kim Reimer, Symposium Chair, and Raquel Aguilar, Symposium Co-Chair for their hard work and dedication to this event planning. Please reach out to them if you would like to be on a Symposium committee!

As we enjoy the sunny days of July, let’s continue to work together to create a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking workplace. Your passion and dedication are the driving forces behind our success, and I look forward to all that we will achieve together in the months ahead.

As always, we welcome your feedback, suggestions, and ideas on how we can further strengthen our CCSHRM community. Your input is invaluable as we work together to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where all HR professionals can thrive.

If you are not a current member, please consider this as our invitation to join us!  You can learn more about the benefits of membership by reaching out to our Membership Director, Dennis Claborn at membership@centralcalshrm.org.

Thank you for your hard work and commitment. Here’s to a productive and enjoyable July!

With appreciation,

Shalon Anderson, President
